The Global Intelligence Organization:
The Global Intelligence team helps Morgan Stanley at Work clients manage tax withholding and reporting for their equity compensation plans.  As part of that service, Global Intelligence clients receive access to theGlobal Intelligence application, acloud service that provides legal, tax, and mobility information to companies that offer stock as part of their employees' compensation across multiple countries. Our industry-leading application is designed to simplify the complexities of equity plan management, while helping employees realize the full potential of their benefits.
Information Specialist Role:
The Information Specialist role is responsible for ensuring the Global Intelligence platform accurately reflects the information confirmed by third party information providers in all jurisdictions, keeping and maintaining records of every change reflected in the platform, using internal systems and metrics to measure changes and communicating changes in position and in legislations to Associates and Clients in a timely manner.
Our ideal candidate is technically savvy, with strong communication skills and likes to work through challenges. They are comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment.You have a passion for solving problems and simplifying complicated scenarios. A knowledge of employee share plans or tax would be highly beneficial. You have a deep belief in team success, a willingness to adapt to continuous change, and a desire to take ownership over responsibilities. You also have a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Information Specialist Responsibilities:
·Updates the Global Intelligence platform reviewing thoroughly and with attention to detail the information including tax bands, calculations, and rates.
·Testing changes in front-end before making them live and available for clients.
·Making sure changes in the back end pull through to all services and features in front-end with no errors and reporting and following up on bugs and errors in the platform if/when required.
·Clarifying queries from team members and clients on the information sent back from third-party information providers.
·Compares the information and position adopted on the Global Intelligence platform with other information providers, public domain websites, and governmental sites to confirm alignment.
·Prepares weekly presentation of the platform to the team including important updates and upcoming changes in legislation and tax budgets to be aware of.
·Curates content for monthly newsletter including daily sweep news of sources, drafting short articles, getting consent by local lawyer of content to be published, and proofing and putting together layout for distribution.
Maintains and grows the Global Intelligence network of lawyers, and maintains solid relationships with third-party information providers.
Qualifications:
·Bachelor's degree.
·Qualified lawyer or accountant desirable but not required.
·Tech-oriented with demonstrated experience of understanding complexities of SaaS desirable.
·Superior and demonstrable attention to detail.
·Meticulous and disciplined project management.
·Excellent communications skills – verbal, written, presentation.
·Highly collaborative and team oriented.
·Excellent at building relationships.
·Spoken and written English to a high level of proficiency is a requirement; proficiency in additional languages a benefit.
·Focus on continuous improvement and client satisfaction.
