Responsible for owning the development and/or delivery of information security initiatives, projects, or programs that have objectives associated with preserving the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data across the enterprise. Responsible for designing and implementing processes to understand, measure, and improve the organization's ability to
avoid data exfiltration, corruption, or other exploitation.
How will you make an impact in this role?
American Express is looking for a leader that is a specialist in engineering enablement focused on network security controls. This role is pivotal in building and delivering network security controls and safeguarding our company's applications and services in the cloud. This position will be responsible for building and managing a global team of engineers focused on enabling modern cloud security controls and practices to improve our developer experience.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Drive the integration of network security controls and security automation into our infrastructure product lines, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and security standards
Partner with Security architecture and software development teams to develop the network security control strategy and multi-year roadmap to improve developer experience
Partner with Cloud Engineering teams and key business partners to ensure alignment with the product vision and business objectives
Build strong relationships with Infrastructure and application leaders, implementing innovative security solutions, and driving continuous improvement in reliability, performance, quality, and efficiency of the network security controls.
Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the delivery pipeline to improve the feature velocity
Drive the development and implementation of solutions to streamline operations and improve stability and efficiency of the products
Build a strong team of global engineers that can handle multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience building and leading strong and agile teams
Proven experience as a Cloud Security Specialist or similar role.
Knowledge of various security frameworks, standards, and guidelines.
Experience securing services on public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Deep knowledge of cloud native technologies and Cloud security controls
Deep Knowledge of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Expertise leading a large engineering organization and operating with Agile principles
