Overview
We are seeking aDigital Engineering Expertto spearhead transformative Digital initiatives in our Grid Technologies Product business, focusing on efficiency and innovation for Transformers and Switchgearsmanufacturing. This role involves collaborating closely with external technology partners, including Consulting companies and Startups, to integrate cutting-edgeOTsolutions within our factory operations. This role will bring a deep knowledge ofDiscrete Manufacturingfor Power and Electrical Transmission equipment, paired with expertise inSCADA and PLC systemsand an understanding ofautomationandlogisticstechnologies, likeAGVs.
Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:
Design, develop, and implement OT systems, like SCADA, PLC and AGV solutions for various industrial applications.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Develop and implement detailed roadmaps, strategy plans, scale-up plans for enhancing efficiency and productivity acrossfactoriesfor Grid Technologies Products
Stakeholder Engagement: Work with external technology partners and internal partners, external startups and technology partners, to drive innovation in the manufacturing setups globally.
Automation & Manufacturing Efficiency: Apply expertise inDiscrete Manufacturingand automation to design solutions that optimize operational workflows and product manufacturing efficiencies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SCADA, PLC, and AGV technologies with existing manufacturing and logistics processes.
Factory Automation:
Oversee the entire lifecycle of automation projects, including planning, execution, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Identify and integrate advanced manufacturing technologies to optimize production efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues to minimize downtime.
SCADA System Implementation:
Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of SCADA systems.
Ensure that SCADA systems are effectively monitoring and controlling manufacturing processes.
Architecture Enhancement:
Evaluate and upgrade manufacturing infrastructure to support advanced technologies.
Conduct system architecture assessments and provide recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
We don't need superheroes, just super minds:
Industry Experience: 10+ years in theEnergy sector, with a focus onTransmissionProducts (transformers, switchgear, etc.) andDiscrete Manufacturing.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience with SCADA, PLC or AGV system integration.
Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP).
Familiarity with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) design and configuration.
Experience in industrial automation and process control within manufacturing or logistics environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
Strong project management abilities and the capacity to lead projects to successful completion.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Certification in relevant technologies or engineering disciplines is a plus.
