As an Engineering Manager, you will primarily be responsible for driving the team focussed on developing/enhancing, testing, and supporting z/OS simplification and Modernisation Strategy for the IBM Z systems.
zOS Platform management related to network congifuration assistant, Open Telemetry, Analyser and other new development related to IO configuration, simplification and modernisation actitivties.
You would be expected to work closely with partner lab and development team with a joint and end-to-end ownership of the product development, managing delivery schedules and assure highest quality release with maximum exploiter/customer satisfaction.
Additionally, collaborate with relevant stakeholders including research, development, sales, offering, marketing teams to ensure product is amply highlighted
As a People Manager, you have to focus on Employee engagement, Growth, Skill building, Innovation and well-being
End to End responsibility of product delivery and release by applying Design Thinking & Agile practices in product design, development, test & support
Define work schedules and track task assignment for the team and clear roadblocks and risks to enable product delivery
Bring in efficiencies in the process/product methodologies, hiring and retaining highly talented engineers
Work with peer Managers, Product Owners, Architects, stakeholders, etc. to share/apply best practices at increasing efficiency and showcase status of the project to senior management and Executives
Create an environment for collaboration and high performing culture that is required to make this multi-site development team successful
Motivate the team in applying processes and best practices in delivering great user experience and quality products for IBM's Server Systems
Ensure Business Compliance and Integrity is maintained across the team
