Role Description
Support the BSS implementation across the markets with a focus on Core BSS Domains (incl. CRM , Billing, Order Management, Integration, Product Catalogue, VAS, etc). This role will possess deep BSS technical expertise to be able to unlock any technical blockers during the BSS implementation while identifying any gaps against the reference architecture. The role will play a critical role in the modernization of Vodacom's BSS (Business Support Systems) platform by overseeing the migration from the current platform to the new platform.
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience
Experience in business process management, optimization, and data migration
Experience is deploying large IT Modernization or Transformation projects.
Strong understanding of BSS platforms and associated business processes, such as order management, billing, customer care, and provisioning.
Solid knowledge of business process modelling and improvement methodologies e.g BPMN, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar.
Experience in leading complex migration projects, managing stakeholders, and mitigating risks.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process bottlenecks and propose effective solutions.
Familiarity with BSS platforms and their underlying technologies, such as CRM, billing systems, and order management systems.
Ability to support analysis of reference architectures that promote the development of supportable, disposable or reusable applications and reduce the effort of applications retirement.
Provide input to strategic IT Roadmaps, identify baseline and gaps of the current state architecture and capabilities vs strategic plan goals, related to modernisation roadmap
Support the high level solution design (i.e. HLD) to ensure the modernisation initiatives is built in accordance with strategic direction, standards and principles.
