It identifies fact based opportunities for revenue growth in partnership with the businesses. The function balances customer needs, business strategy, and profit objectives using best-in-class and relevant analytic methodologies. To accomplish this, the group focuses on linkages of information, tools and analytics.
Role Outline/Job Summary
The role of Business Analyst is part of Analytics and Information Management, based in Pune and reporting into the VP / AVP of the team.
The scope of work includes solving business problems using data and statistical / ML techniques and mentoring junior members of the team to build strong capabilities to solve business use cases in Big Data environment.
The work will include understanding the business problem and the key deliverable using Data Manipulation, Data Analysis, Feature Engineering, statistical modeling & ML, while maintaining the flexibility to switch amongst work streams based on business needs.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Data Sciences team is a global capability team which has the mandate to accelerate Citibank's journey towards being future ready. The Key objectives are
Build strong capabilities in Big Data, Machine Learning, Digital & Neural Networks to solve key business challenges
Continuously watch and learn from evolving trends
Be forward compatible - explore new problem-solving methods
Core Responsibilities:
Develop new Solutions that have high impact on revenue, expense management or customer experience.
Strong Expertise in Deep Learning and Machine Learning techniques
Make consistent and tangible contributions towards developing capabilities in Pyspark , Deep Learning and NLP, Pricing/Product optimization, Journey mapping,
Manage stakeholder communication and drive the POC till production.
Ensuring the MRM approvals of the models and build MRM document.
Build strong domain expertise by effective communication with the business.
Be Forward Compatible - Generate new ideas, concepts and models. Explore new problem solving methods; Question and validate assumptions; Escalate identified risks and sensitive areas in terms of methodology and processes
Research and Development: Keep abreast of the latest developments in the Gen AI space including the latest techniques, packages, tools etc. across industry and explore their usage in banking industry.
Talent Development: Supporting in training the resources and getting them future ready
Key Deliverables:
Collaborate with business teams to understand the challenges and innovatively come up with solutions to meet their requirements POC Execution: Work on multiple project/unstructured problems businesses are facing across markets, look at providing solutions that go beyond traditional methods – Using advanced technologies and new data sources Research and Development: Keep abreast of the latest developments in the analytic space across industries for potential uses. Provide technical matter expertise on deep learning to the team and the center. Engage with Technology and other teams for deployment. Implement best practices for data manipulation and analysis for deep learning and big data environments Supporting in training the resources and getting them future ready
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred
Education:
Masters in a numerate subject such as Mathematics, Engineering, Operational Research, Business Administration from Premier Institute or a track record of performance that demonstrates this ability.
Experience:
5-8 years including 3-4 years in Deep Learning
Expertise Required
Big Data – HIVE/ Pyspark
Programming – Python
Strong expertise in Machine Learning as well as Deep Learning
In depth understanding of at least one of the following specifically using DL:
Time series forecasting
Anomaly detection and pattern mining
Large scale predictive modeling
Effective in writing production ready codes
Ability to research and drive innovation within the team by exploring and implementing new techniques like transformers, VAE, GAN etc.
Banking domain knowledge is a plus
