The Data Governance Business Analyst may be responsible for one or more of the following areas: assisting in identification of data quality issues or their resolution, measurement and reporting, data policy adoption and compliance related controls, and regulatory and audit response and action tracking.
This role requires someone who is dynamic, flexible, and can easily respond to quickly changing needs. The candidate must have the ability to handle ambiguity and complexity and be able to deliver on multiple responsibilities. Developed communication and presentation skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others.
Responsibilities:
Partner with multiple teams to implement relevant Data Issue resolution solutions and/or execution of relative controls for Data Risk and Control framework
Oversight and analysis of data-related issues, conducting root cause analysis workshops, tracking of ownership and target dates and associated metrics and reporting
Support and coordinate with business lines and global functions on requirement gathering, solution roll out, building controls around key risk indicators and testing framework
Project manage any specific Data issue resolution project or implementation of new Key Risk Indicators in line with enterprise-wide principles, policies, processes and practices as needed
Qualifications:
10+ years relevant experience in a Data Governance/ Data Management/ Process Engineering or related area
Ability to handle complexity, ambiguity and a fast changing, often demanding work environment
Advanced understanding of Project Management methodologies and tools
Ability to monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes, with the ability to anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders
Strong leadership, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
Strong team player and work effectively in a matrix organization.
Ability to influence projects with multiple constituents across organizations whilst ensuring quality delivery to agreed deadlines
Past experience of working within Consulting / Audit with 'Big-4' firms
Experience of Risk and Finance functions/architecture and familiarity with multiple asset classes (e.g. Interest Rates, Credit, FX, Commodities, Equities, Prime) would be advantageous.
