A Brief Overview
The Compensation Director plays a key role in achieving TriNet's strategy by leading the India compensation programs. This individual is responsible for proactively participating in the design, implementation and analysis of compensation programs with a focus on compensation in India. This individual maintains compliance of Indian regulations and policies, coordinates cost-effective solutions and programs. This position requires a balance between strategic, best practices expertise and significant, current hands-on experience. This role will lead the creation and implementation of policies and procedures in alignment with Company values and goals. It will also provide leadership and consultation with TriNet People Business Partners and management in the development, implementation, maintenance and efficient monitoring of compensation, procedures, and strategies.

What you will do
Design and manage corporate compensation programs including base compensation, corporate bonus plans, equity plans, annual compensation cycle, support for performance management and executive compensation, reporting and other special projects to support and drive the achievement of business goals.
Partner with People Business Partners and management to develop, improve and implement the most effective and efficient systems and solutions for the achievement of business goals and maintenance of competitive practices, including resolving compensation issues with appropriate solutions.
Assist with the mid-year and annual compensation cycles, including merit/pay increase, corporate bonus payouts and annual refresh equity grants.
Create and implement salary structure and administrative guidelines in accordance with compensation policy.
Direct preparation of job descriptions for positions in the organization.
Lead and collaborate with external consultants, brokers and third-party administrators in the design and administration of plans.
Create and implement communications to support compensation initiatives.
Effectively analyze data from compensation benchmarking studies to recommend and implement solutions to identified issues. Assures accurate comparisons of data within competing industries.
Analyze pay practices and make recommendations for salary changes to ensure equity and conduct job analysis to identify appropriate salary levels according to compensation guidelines and policy formulated by human resources.
Provide analysis and review of the accurate classification of employees under the laws relating to wages, minimum wage, payment of wages and other key laws addressing wages, working hours and conditions of employment.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of central, state and local compensation laws and regulations to support compliance.
Ensure the development and execution of documentation for all compensation plan documents and summaries comply with applicable compensation laws and regulations in India or other documents to assure compliance.
Cross-functional collaboration with finance, legal, and talent acquisition teams to align compensation initiatives with broader organizational goals.

Education Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
Experience Qualifications
Typically 15+ years of compensation related experience, including compensation program design, implementation, and analysis, as well as executive compensation required
Typically 5+ years experience implementing or managing a complicated sales compensation (including commission) plan preferred
Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and/or managing thorough compensation plans
Solid experience using a benchmarking and survey analysis
Knowledge of human resources policies, processes, and workflow, including a thorough understanding of compensation and related state and federal laws
Demonstrates ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to connect with employees at all levels of the organization
Excellent negotiating/influencing skills across all levels of the organization
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of both state and federal employment laws
Strong internal client service orientation
Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite
Advanced HRIS (Oracle) skills
