Profile Description
We're seeking someone to join our team as Associate, This position is for a strong data engineer & analyst for the Low Latency Execution Analytics Team in the Institutional Securities Technology/Algo Group. The LLX team develops technology solutions and analytics tools for the Equity Sales and Trading businesses across the Cash, Programs, Derivatives and Electronic Trading desks.
InstitutionalSecurities_Technology
Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. IST's 'clients' include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Prime Brokerage and Global Capital Markets.
ALGO (Algorithmic Trading, Client Connectivity & Market Data)
Algorithmic Trading Client Connectivity and Market Data (ALGO) is responsible for the infrastructure and application layers, enabling the Firm's Sales & Trading platforms across Equity, FX and Rates with advanced execution and quoting automation, connectivity and messaging capabilities. Designs, develops, and deploys the firm's market leading ultra-low latency e-trading platform Enables the Firm's Sales & Trading platforms across Equity, Fixed Income, FX, and Commodities via advanced execution, connectivity, analytics, and messaging capabilities, as well as comprehensive trading risk systems and application infrastructure

What you'll do in the role:
The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, re-engineering & maintaining the SORT Analytics application used by the products and technology team to monitor efficiency of the system. They will contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including influencing the overall design and architecture of the application and developing, testing and deploying the code.
An ideal candidate will demonstrate excitement for new technology and an eagerness to learn and should be a self-starter with strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills. They should be able to handle competing demands on time and manage their own work to deadlines. Flexibility in outlook is essential. They should be a team player and have the ability to work collaboratively with teams across geographical areas. They should have a high degree of motivation to expand their technical and business knowledge.
What you'll bring to the role:
• Proficient using at least one of server side technologies Python or C++ or Kdb
• Knowledge of KDB+/Q and functional programming is a good plus
• Knowledge on quantitative techniques ( Mining, ML & Deep learning ) is a good plus
• Experience in engineering data-intensive, real time applications and scalable applications
• Basic knowledge on Unix / shell scripting and RDBMS like Sybase
• Willingness to learn and adopt newer technologies/frameworks
• 3 -7 yrs of exp
