To Lead and develop the strategic roadmaps related to technical
engineering assurance (Reliability Availability Maintainability Safety
(RAMS), Integration, Test and Validation (RAMS & ITV))
To discharge the role of a technical focal point on matters
related to technical engineering assurance.
Be the single point of contact for stakeholders across Siemens'
global locations and within the local business unit on matters related to
technical engineering assurance.
Leadership
Provide the leadership and insight to
develop a competent assurance team in alignment with the roadmap of the
business segment.
Continually drive improvement and lessons
learned within the technical engineering assurance disciplines.
Provide technical leadership and
direction to discipline assurance leads and other assurance team members.
Act as a role model in the adoption and
implementation of the business unit values and behaviours.
Support the development and delivery of
the technical engineering assurance programme, as required.
Strategy Implementation
Implement strategy for ITV (Integration Testing and Validation)
& RAMS for "CoC + End-to-End project execution".
Strategizing and implementing "ITV & RAMS as-a-service"
from COBRA both for local-for-local and local-for-global
Realization of "Quality Always and Safety first" mantra at
COBRA.
Stakeholder
Management
Develop strategicalliancesacross the globe.
Key interface formanaging escalationsfor ITV & RAMS
Employees Development
Develop competencies with ITV and RAMS
team especially towardsLighthouse and expertspace
Employee Engagement
Talent management (including succession

Contributing towards design and
implementation ofBIPs(Business Impact Project) across COBRA.

Desired Skills:
·Experience in devising strategies to
deliver engineering assurance for high integrity systems.
·Several years of experience in the
development and delivery of high integrity systems in domains such as
aerospace, railways, Gas detection, defence etc.
·A strong insight into system and
software engineering lifecycle and the activities in each phase of the
lifecycle (Requirements, design, development, and V&V).
·Experience of multi-disciplinary
projects and programmes of work and working across multi-disciplinary teams.
·Extensive experience in the
development and application of product and project safety engineering in
accordance with CENELEC EN50126, 50128 and 50129 standards, the Common Safety
Method (CSM) regulations with an understanding that focus on the application of
quality, safety, and V&V techniques applicable to system, hardware,
software, data and testing.
·Good Knowledge of signalling systems
and products covering ETCS, Control systems, Interlockings and Train Detection,
other railway systems such as Train Braking, Door Control systems would be an
advantage.
·In depth knowledge of independent
safety assessment, customer acceptance and approval processes in accordance
with CENELEC standards applicable to railway domain, CSM and Technical
Specification for Interoperability (TSIs).
·A proven track record of managing
and delivering complex signalling assurance programmes across wide range of
stake holders.
·A good understanding of ERTMS and
associated standards
·Proven relationship builder and
ability to communicate at all levels, especially with the customer and
stakeholders across the siemens' global locations.
·Availability to travel frequently
nationally and internationally.
·Strong leadership and management
skills
Extensive experience working in the railway industry.
Experience in setting up competencies for RAMS & ITV.
Chartered Engineer from institutions such as IRSE, IET, IMechE,
BCS.
Recently played or playing a senior role managing team of
experienced engineers interfacing with delivery organisation, approval
bodies, safety regulators, customer etc.
Strong insight into the European railway industry?.
Proven ability to manage and drive successful programmes.
Experience in international complex programmes managing multiple
stakeholders.
Experience of a functional lead within Siemens business.
·Experience in contributing to
railway standards development
