Job Title : Associate Manager - TaxLocation : BangaloreExperience : 5 to 10 yearsJob Description :Requirements :· Reviewing Small, Medium & Complex like 990 & 990-T Tax Returns and Managing Non-profit organization work schedule and understand the Main form 990, its reporting structure and should have basic knowledge of 990 respective schedules· This role will be focused on tax-exempt organization state tax registrations and filings as well as assist with the regular exempt organizations tax team compliance including Forms 990, 990-PF, 990-T and 5500.· Reviewing the 12 sections of Form 990's main form.· Reviewing deadlines, extensions and penalties pertaining to Form 990 and the purpose of the 16 schedules associated with Form 990.· Reviewing the Implications to Form 990 from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.· Manage end-to-end tax compliance. Responsible for completing all assigned tasks accurately and within the defined processing time frame.· Reviewing the Form 990 Extensively like Importance of nonprofit sector, Purpose of Form 990, Who must file, Form 990 series, Organizations not required to file, accounting periods, Deadline and extensions, Penalties for failure to file.· Reviewing the Implications for TaxExempt Organization & Calculation of Unrelated Business Income Tax (UBIT).· Reviewing 990 Main forms and 16 schedules and Common errors.· Reviewing the Audit Financials like Income statement and Balance sheet. Ability to review 990 extensively, screening the financials, identifying missing open items, asking for relevant tax information and documentation to provide accurate information.· Excellent communication skills to drive engagement and close interactions with both India & US Leadership.· Well versed in standard technology & come-up with innovative ideas of thinking, Strategy planning and managing the workload.· Ability to interact with all levels of internal Staff and Senior team members and manage team in complex situations.· Must process excellent tax research skills and Balanced allocation of work to team members.· Guide the team in understanding various tax forms and conduct training & brainstorming knowledge sessions.· Directly manage teams of analysts, support in process implementation, staffing and new hire training.· Coaching and developing Junior & Senior Team members on the concepts of 990 tax compliance.· Develop Junior/Senior team members for next roles in the hierarchy and should be Leading and managing engagements independently.· Quality of process improvements & Team management· Attention to detail and documentation, Adherence to turnaround and statutory timelines· Excellent communication skills : clear oral and written skills; effective questioning, active listening· Excellent interpersonal skills : influencing, collaborating, networking, able to work effectively in virtual international and cross-functional teams· Qualified - CPA or EA with 6+ years experience in US direct taxation.
