We're seeking a future team member for the role of Associate, Full-Stack Engineer ll  (VRS Developer) to join ourInsight Investmentteam. This role is located inChennai, Tamil Nadu – HYBRID.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: 
Develop fit for purpose solutions. Work with the team, users and vendor (FactSet) to identify key technical components required to deliver reports, working effectively with other team members to successfully implement this solution to budget, scope and timescale.
Work within an agile scrum team to iteratively design, build, document, test and implement reporting solutions as required.
Support the Client Reporting Development team and business team in the implementation of client reports, with an additional focus on validating the non-functional requirements.
Act as a subject matter expert in Vermilion development and develop other team members in using the tool.
Work collaboratively with the VRS SME resources in the regulatory reporting team that work within the same development environment.
Establish and enforce data quality controls to validate the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data used in client reports. Conduct regular data reconciliation checks and audits to identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Create high level and detailed functional and technical designs, build, document, test and implement components as required.
Develop solutions in accordance with Insight standards and deliver solutions that meet the existing Insight change management processes.
Maintain detailed documentation of client reporting processes, data lineage, and system configurations in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with FCA/PRA guidelines, ESMA directives, and other relevant regulatory mandates governing data management and reporting practices.
Continuous review of code base to identify technical debt, candidates for performance improvements and potential bugs.
Simple incident & problem management as it pertains to our reporting platform including fault finding and bug fix's as they arise.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: 
Candidates should possess a blend of technical expertise, client reporting knowledge, and collaborative skills to excel in this role.
Asset Management or similar FS experience.
Experience of working within reporting and distribution (Sales, Servicing, Marketing, etc.) business areas.
Experience writing stored procedures (strong MS SQL Server skills), Excel and other data feeds in VRS.
Experience in developing a wide range of different components and reports, into multiple output types.
Familiarity with Entities, particularly around the maintenance of these.
Proven experience of developing workflows for end users within VRS, including validation plus delivery to internal and external applications.
Strong development experience of control mechanisms to feed into end user workflows.
Strong experience with PowerPoint and settings within VRS to ensure compatibility with PowerPoint.
Experience developing custom Java and VBA plugins to meet specific client requirements.
Proven understanding of the VRS application infrastructure and services, including standard troubleshooting methods to resolve Production issues and optimise high volume report production.
Familiarity with problems, capabilities and features in recent, current and future VRS versions/upgrade procedures.
A good understanding of the vendor (FactSet) including experience in liaising with them to raise and resolve issues and enhance the application to the benefit of the Client.
Proven technical skills with Office and MS SQL Server.
Software development experience in a commercial environment with exposure to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
A good understanding of data modelling and workflow
Experience working in Agile teams performing iterative development.
Azure / cloud experience / CI/CD pipelines.
Jira & Confluence (or similar).
A good understanding of data modelling, data pipelines and workflow.
Knowledge of data quality and governance approaches.
Comfortable working with remote stakeholders and colleagues using state of the art collaboration technology.
Software development experience in a commercial environment with exposure to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Experience as lead technician within an implementation project team and exposure to different project methodologies.
Stand by software engineering principles around quality and doing things the right way.
Stakeholder relationship management.
Analysis & requirements gathering as required.
Experienced of building effective relationships within and across IT teams.
Able to work with incomplete information when determining business solutions taking into account relevant dependencies, timing and constraints.
Able to produce functional requirements, high level design and detailed design specifications when needed to support project processes and delivery requirements.
Ability to collaborate with end users, stakeholders, and team members. 
Demonstrate initiative and independence to solve problems.
