Shared Technology Platform ( STP) Services team is responsible for all middleware technology infrastructure administrative activities for a variety of middleware technologies. We also provide development support for hundreds of applications. This particular role is created for WebTechnology Middleware infrastructure support which includes Tomcat ,IBM WebSphere Application Server(primary technology) L3 SME and L3 Production support and automation infrastructure support, Weblogic . Our primary function is to provide Infrastructure technology Support and implement technology solutions that will help application teams avoid production outages and build stable production systems. We are also assisting several applications with their cloud transition. Our services include below.
· Engineering/Tech Support
· Onboarding
· Reusable Tools
· Environment Automation
· License Management
· SME support along with advanced troubleshooting
· Design and Capacity Analysis.
· Initiatives that improve productivity and result in efficiencies
· POCs and adoption of new products
· Interact with SA, dba, developers and product and send requests to Architecture
Role Description:
· Weblogic,IIS,WebSphere Application Server L3 Tech support .Tomcat /Apache L3 Tech support
· Design and Develop tools to standardize and automate monitoring , application support activities.
Technology experience on tool like Bitbucket , python scripting , CICD automation , code repository checkins and version control .
· Technical support to applications on trouble shooting Environment, software and application level issues for WebSphere and IBM HTTP Server .
· Write,test programs using Unix Shell/python/ansible scripting,
· Partner with cross functional teams across Technology,Validation/QC, Production.
· Triaging/driving MIM calls and L3 production support for WebSphere infra structure .
· Building WebSphere/Tomcat/Weblogic/IIS environments,patching,VA fixes,driving production changes .
· Providing design inputs ,capacity analysis and architectural solution for WebSphere Application environment setups.
· Support Global teams across all of ICG supporting cutting edge solutions.
· Expertise in ITRS monitoring including dashboard setup and command setup with authorization setup through service now groups
· Expertise in automation with autosys ,udeploy, python .Exposure to tomcat/containerization would be an value add.
· Managing support services and change management using Servicenow application
Exposure to tomcat ,ansible ,Udeploy/CICD is value add .
Qualifications:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent educational qualification
Technical / Functional Proficiency:
Knowledge/Experience:
· 5-10 years of WebSphere application server L3 SME for WAS version 8.5 and WAS9.x and Tomcat /AHS/OHS/Weblogic
· Experience in to work in unix/linux environment.
· Experience jython development scripting for WebSphere application server .Development experience on tool like Bitbucket , python scripting , CICD automation , code repository checkins and version control .
· Experience in analyzing WebSphere log files and generating automated performance reports
· Experience troubleshooting WAS and IBM HTTP server related issues
· Strong ability to work in a highly focused technical environment together with other motivated and driven professionals, as well as the ability to work independently.
· Team management and leadership experience .
· Must have experience in participating in the management of multiple concurrent initiatives while relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
