Job Description SummaryThe Sr. Staff Enterprise Architect is responsible in leading platform architecture for applications within Product Management, Commercial, Engineering and Services organization. You will determine right landing zone for the application (cloud, on-premises), design application to architectural standards with right security controls, and lead implementation and deployment. In addition, this role may be responsible for design, build, run of Windows based platforms like VDI, Digital Plant Design tools, etc. and lead the migration to cloud. This role will provide strategic and technical leadership for new builds, environment updates, technology upgrades, asset management and simplification objectives.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesLead the platform design and build using current architectural standards and cloud managed services.Establish design patterns to develop and build applications for cloud.Align with corporate and ONW IT in implementing future technology strategy.Lead re-architecture of applications based on cloud strategy.Lead architectural efforts in the migration of applications from on-premises data centers to Cloud environments.Reduce technical debt for the applications by improving vitality and maintaining environment in a contemporary state.Partner with CISO and CTO teams in actively leading cyber security controls and enterprise vulnerability management for assigned applications.Participate in SAFe PI planning and define necessary enablers and NFRs on architecture runway for development value stream.Drive continuous improvements in the platform by researching and evaluating emerging technology, industry, and market trends.Contribute to the development of project and data delivery platforms with reusable components across teams that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses.Effectively monitor and control costs in the organization Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction.Assists in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.Gathers and analyze data and develops architectural requirements at project level.Participate in the Enterprise Architecture governance model.Support the development software and data delivery platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses.Researches and evaluates emerging technology, industry, and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.Coach and mentor team members.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in design and architecture of IT projectsMinimum of 5 years of professional experience in cloud technologies e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.Desired CharacteristicsHands-on experience in any one of the cloud managed services. AWS or AzureHands-on experience in any of the following is a plus: Aveva, Citrix, HPC, VDI.Preferred certification in AWS Solution ArchitectureUnderstanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA and REST)Strong Knowledge of IP Networking including VPC's, VPN's, DNS, Load-balancing, and FirewallsStrong knowledge of end-to-end SDLC & infrastructure architectureHands-on experience in J2EE technologies, RESTful servicesAbility to consult customer on alignment of outcomes and desired technical solutions at an enterprise levelAbility to Analyze, design, and develop a software solution roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state of the business.Working knowledge of configuration choices and related cost implications; Experience with complex solution configurations.Knowledgeable of full range of solution catalog within a business unit and able to discuss overall solution at depth.Experience sustaining operational stability through various life cycle phases (planning, implementation, steady state, de-commissioning); Ability to provision and budget via capital and operating.Able to lead early-stage customer interactions; Guide customers as they develop confidence and comfort with approaches and integrate with their legacy tech investments.The salary range for this position is$127,600 - $212,600USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a15%variable incentive bonus.
