The role's primary focus will be to develop and own the building blocks of the Cloud Platform.Role Purpose:The role is responsible for working with teams across the organisation to develop and build the re-usable or shared service components of the Cloud PlatformWhat you'll be doing:Design and maintain the building blocks of the cloud platform across GCPEnsure that the platform remains secure via vulnerability scans and infrastructure backup updatesDrive the automation of infrastructure provisioning processSelect the appropriate GCP service based on data, compute, database, or security requirementsOversees the build and operation of fast and scalable infrastructure deployment workflowsHelps architect and design the transformational journey into the cloud platform servicesIncludes the implementation and delivery of cloud products and services, configuration management, Infrastructure as Code template development, Testing and TroubleshootingDeliver excellent customer outcomes through technical expertiseBuild and maintain relationships across engineeringWhat you'll need:Completed training in GCP FundamentalsUnderstanding of cloud security policies and standardsUnderstanding of technical cloud infrastructure and configurationExperience with infrastructure as codeExperience in Agile and DevOps methodologiesExperience with CI/CD and source code management toolsDemonstrated problem analysis and resolution skillsUnderstanding of Cloud Automation for standardisation and re-useDesign of native Cloud applications, Cloud application design patterns, and practicesKnowledge of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks and the GCP Well Architected frameworkDesigning, building, and operating global IT infrastructuresExperience in hosting cloud infrastructure and applicationsA keen interest in new technologies and ability/willingness to research and self-study to keep technical skills relevantExcellent problem resolution skillsWho you are:You're open:We are inclusive and collaborative; we encourage the free exchange of ideas; we respect and celebrate diverse views.
