About the Role
The Asset Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the lifecycle of Corporate Information Systems hardware assets within the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of IT assets, from their introduction to their retirement, ensuring they are accurately tracked, labeled, and recorded in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The Asset Administrator will maintain inventory records at both departmental and user levels, conduct physical verifications, and ensure the accuracy of asset data.
In addition to managing the inventory, the Asset Administrator will generate various reports, suggest and implement process improvements, and collaborate with helpdesk teams and end-users for asset distribution and collection. This role also involves assisting in procurement activities, coordinating with finance for compliance audits, and supporting the helpdesk with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and clients. The Asset Administrator will also be responsible for conducting annual physical audits and presenting findings to the finance department, ensuring compliance with asset management policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Oversee the complete lifecycle of CIS hardware assets in the CMDB from introduction to retirement.
Plan, monitor, and record IT assets, including tagging and labeling.
Ensure Inventory records are accurate matching with physical inventory.
Maintenance of critical stock and reorder levels.
Asset Lifecycle and Documentation:
Digitize asset records and ensure accurate documentation in the CMDB portal.
Maintain inventory records at both departmental and user levels.
Ensure end-user asset records are accurate and up-to-date.
Create and maintain documentation for procedures, processes, and asset reports.
Verification and Compliance
:
Conduct physical verification of hardware assets against the CMDB.
Address any discrepancies found during verification.
Continuously improve asset tracking processes.
Generate and distribute weekly and monthly reports, including compliance status of current assets
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work with helpdesk teams and end-users for asset distribution and collection.
Manage asset-related logistics efficiently.
Communicate changes related to assets to clients promptly.
Assist in the procurement of new assets.
Coordinate with finance for compliance audits and reporting.
Support the helpdesk with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
Maintain minimum stock levels and initiate purchase order requests as necessary.
Collaborate with procurement & Helpdesk team for the Asset disposal
Audits:
Conduct annual physical audits and present findings to the finance department.

Expertise & Experience You Should bring
Any undergraduate degree in Science or commerce
At Least 0-4 years of of relevant experience
Proficiency in MSoffice and Google workspace for enterprise
Proficiency in Inventory Management
Basic knowledge in procurement process
Highly skilled in math and inventory
Working knowledge of various business processes
Basic knowledge on IT gadgets

Minimum Travel required within the country.
