About the role
Media Relations is an integral part of the communications. We're looking for aMedia Relations Specialistto help us share what we do in a simple, compelling, and passionate way. As a member of the Communications team, you'll be part of an experienced and diverse team that supports Siemens Energy in communicating across different channels and audiences. Your work will contribute to Siemens Energy becoming the most valued energy technology company and in supporting customers in transitioning to a more sustainable world.
What we're looking for
·Media Strategy- Develop comprehensive media strategy across mediums to achieve organizational and team goals. Translate the business strategies into a Media Relations Strategy with precise communications plan and implementation
Media Relations- Drive media relations to support business strategies. Build relationships with key media persons and influencers, across the media universe (including financial press) to maintain high share of voice and editorial coverage in the form of feature & industry stories, blogs, speaking engagements and participation in awards
Executive Profiling- Profile Leadership in the media, including global CEO, CTO, CHRO, etc. (including preparation through briefing documents, alignment with global teams)
Content Writing & Management- Develop, edit and distribute press releases, announcements and other press materials in close coordination with the Management, Investor Relations, Company Secretary / Legal and Business. Support digital content creation on need basis.
Collaboration- Work with internal & external partners, for smoothing working.
Agency Relationship Management- Lead relations with external PR agencies and vendors
Crisis communications- Support préparation, management & content création for Crisis scenarios
Measurement KPIs: SOV, key message transmission, spokesperson visibility, tonality, reach
Qualifications and other requirements
6-8 years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Communications experience
A track record of designing and executing successful PR campaigns pan-India across financial, business and trade media (broadcast, online and print) | B2B & technology experience preferred
Understanding of the energy, oil & gas, infrastructure and technology space
Have in-depth knowledge of PR for a listed company with experience managing crisis communications
Strong written and verbal communication, with expertise in presentation and reports
Keen understanding of the media landscape and trends, new media and social media tools
