THE ROLE
We are looking for a marketing leader to head Social marketing for Netflix India. The Netflix India social community (~50M strong) is one of our most valuable brand assets, contributing meaningfully to our title, talent and brand marketing efforts. This person will lead a talented team of social marketing managers who are responsible for best in class work in both community management and campaigns. This team operates at the center of pop culture, driving conversation & engagement, creating & reacting to trends, and connecting audience needs with brand & business needs.
This role, Head - Social Marketing, is based in Mumbai and will report to the Vice President, Marketing, India
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading a talented team of social marketing professionals responsible for all aspects of community & audience management; programming; and leading the social strategy and execution for title campaigns.
Owning and driving overall Social Marketing strategy and connecting this with overall marketing strategy.
Responsible for strategy and execution across all handles / channels (youtube, shorts, instagram, facebook, twitter / x, twitter south)
Cross functional collaboration working deeply with content, PR, comms, product, legal and other cross functional teams and peers to drive audience & business impact
An integral part of the marketing team working closely with other marketing functions (title marketing, service and slate marketing, marketing production, marketing partnerships, and global marketing teams) to drive impact.
Operating at the cutting edge of pop culture: able to see ahead of corners, spot trends, identify opportunities, and bring this knowledge to bear to drive conversation and audience engagement.
An integral part of campaigns across local originals, global originals, local and global licensed / Pay1, brand campaigns - contributing both strategically and through implementation to bring alive the campaigns
Integral contributor to overall marketing strategy as part of the India Marketing Leadership team
Building strong relationships both internally with cross functional partners and externally with critical industry stakeholders, key talent, showrunners, directors, and production houses.
Owning the social marketing budget and driving effectiveness and efficiency with the spends.
Building and fostering social agency relationships and managing them to deliver outstanding work
Defining and implementing workflows, processes, checking and refining them to ensure smooth 360 functioning of work between teams and functions

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
10-15 years of experience in building creative consumer marketing campaigns
Demonstrated experience and expertise in leading social marketing for proven, world class internet-first brands
Deep, extensive knowledge of the social ecosystem and landscape
Entertainment marketing experience (in marketing films / series, content marketing)
Proven track record of building impactful, cutting edge social marketing campaigns that connect with audiences and break through the cultural zeitgeist
Experience in leading high performance teams, with a knack of team building and fostering a highly collaborative environment
Exceptional relationship building skills - with teams, peers, cross functional partners, external stakeholders
Exceptional communication skills - verbal, presentation, written - with the ability to communicate thinking effectively and sharply, and inspire teams across all levels
Experience with strategizing and executing across key social channels and platforms and audiences
Experience in managing a high volume of campaign & campaign types in parallel
Demonstrated experience of creative excellence across multiple campaigns & brands
Consumer-first thinking and insights and how they translate into campaign strategy and execution
Rich understanding of the entertainment and cultural landscape and how it influences brand & content marketing
Ability to structure, organize and manage a complex, challenging and dynamic work environment of both internal and external stakeholders and campaign timelines

Strong judgment and proven leadership skills of leading large, talented teams
