Head of Strategy, Sustainability and CEO Office

We're searching for a seasoned leader, Team Builder, Trusted Partner, Problem Solver and Change Agent, excited with Siemens Energy mission to energize the society, driving the energy transition and decarbonizing the economy.

This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, analytical and structured thinking, deep knowledge of energy value chain and of Indian energy sector, experience working on senior management levels and ability to manage the big picture.

If this describes you, we have an exciting opportunity as Head of Strategy, Sustainability and CEO Office, reporting to the CEO of Siemens Energy India. 

You will serve as a thought leader and corporate strategy owner, lead a multidisciplinary expert team, provide understanding of energy market and its trends, propose and rollout strategic options and initiatives to drive the energy transition and decarbonize the economy focused on profitable growth, manage Sustainability governance driving it through Siemens Energy organization and key stakeholders in alignment with global strategy and provide all sustainability reports. As CEO office you are responsible to advise CEO, support him in specific tasks as presentations to Headquarters, Board of Directors, Financial Analysts, Customer relationship, manage CEO governance, etc.

Bring your deep understanding of local Indian economy, energy sector, trends, regulations, customers, investments, etc., and elaborate impactful strategic options to drive profitable growth.
Interact with local senior business leadership, market stakeholders (customers, government, academy) and HQs to align understanding, refine concepts and propose comprehensive options for informed decision making process.
Lead multidisciplinary teams with owns resources and virtual setups, local and international.
Understand Siemens Energy Sustainability framework and local regulations to assure full compliance and required reporting.
Drive Sustainability as one of the key strategic priorities for the company
Be an internal and market reference to promote Siemens Energy brand and strategy in various forums.
Be CEO advisor in strategic topics

Strategy
Deep understanding of energy technology and market dynamics comprising the entire value chain – power generation, renewables, transmission, industry, new energy. 
Provide holistic understanding of energy market intelligence with macroeconomics, trends, regulations, customers, new technologies and business models, investors, etc. Structured analysis for trends in economic environment and regulatory framework ("strategic foresight") 
Keep market intelligence data bases aligned and updated 
Elaborate compelling corporate strategy concepts in alignment with the different Business Areas and global strategy 
Be active member in regulatory bodies and associations to be informed and influence market with our interests.
Support Business Areas with strategy data and concepts for their own business development
Interface with all Execution Units, Go to Market, Functions and correspondent HQs peers.
Support Go to Market with market analysis on Verticals, customers segments, marketing.
Provide sector and competitor analysis; Business benchmarking

Sustainability: 

Lead Corporate Sustainability organization and Governance related matters
Monitor and assesses business and country-relevant sustainability regulation, trends, developments, opportunities, and risks
Understand, adapt and rollout global sustainability strategy in country.
Develop implementation plans to further embed sustainability aspects into decisions, strategies, portfolio, processes, and systems and enabling employees  in  close  collaboration  with  business, process and function owners and report back to the CEO 
Develop ideas and proposals for potential sustainability initiatives within the unit. 
Act as an internal ambassador for sustainability and is an active member of the internal Siemens Sustainability network. 
Engage with external stakeholders on sustainability related topics in relation to their business and country.
Monitor regulatory compliances – current and emerging, set up organizational resources, and deliver compliances
Provide all needful reports to the different stakeholders, internal and external.

CEO Office: 
Be direct advisor to CEO in various executive topics 
Prepare required high quality presentations for CEO interactions with Headquarters, Board of Director, Financial Analysts, Customers, etc.
Coordinate required content preparation for conferences, HQs visits. 
Coordinate internal Board and Executive meetings, prepare and follow-up minutes of meetings, organize governance documentation.

Deep knowledge of energy technology and sector dynamics
Strong energy sector network and demonstrated ability to manage and nurture key relationships.
Experience in previous similar roles in the energy sector with corporate strategy and sustainability, CxO relationship
Strong analytical and structured mindset
Strong project management and organizational skills; Meticulous attention to detail 
Proven ability to operate in an influential manner with senior executives to assist in driving the business agenda.

High impact power point presentation skills

We don't need superheroes, just super minds 
Sound foundational experience in the energy sector of over 15 years, deep understanding of Power Generation, Transmission, Industrial sector
Former experiences based on business development, consulting, general management with P&L, 
Preferred Qualifications, though not mandatory: B.E with MBA (added advantage) from reputed institution.
Proved senior management experience, leading own resources and virtual teams, oriented to obtaining solid results 
Innovative and flexible to new ways of thinking, result, and quality-oriented approach to assignments 
Strong analytical ability and structured mindset, big picture view 
Ability to abstract and summarize key points and distil the insights from qualitative and/or quantitative analysis. 
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills 
Capacity to work effectively and independently based on context leadership
Ability to structure and prepare high quality power point presentations for high level CEO presentations and interactions
