Job Description
Automation CoE in Controllership is playing a key role in creating state of the art automation solutions. We have a strategic seat at the table and our unique insights are valued in a highly competitive marketplace and increasingly complex finance environment. This team integrates human thinking with machine efficiency to deliver process excellence. The team works to understand processes, automate repeatable, rule based manual intensive tasks, create analytics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness by various tool integrations and processes reengineering. We are looking for a Product Owner, who would be collaborative and passionate about transforming processes using automation and technology tools and solve difficult business issues. The ideal candidate is expected to have combination of technical knowledge, product ownership, project management and a strong will to grow and learn
How will you make an impact in this role?
In this role, you will be responsible for coding, testing, and delivering high quality deliverables, should be willing to learn new technologies. Your role will also be providing support for existing automation solutions in terms of troubleshooting and enhancements.
Responsible for creation of application roadmaps, capability development and maintenance of financial applications in collaboration with American Express Technologies.
Collaborate across product, process, and technology partners to deliver customer focused solutions and rapidly iterate new solutions with a product centric mindset.
Partner with business/end users, understand business needs, translate to technical requirements, and take ownership in leading agile product owner responsibilities.
Own and maintain product backlog, define product features, user stories, perform end user acceptance test to drive delivery and results that benefit end users.
Foster an external perspective in delivering solutions via understanding of the industry landscape to drive modernization of existing platforms.
Define product scope and objectives, ensure compliance with standards and best practices, and drive risk management, analysis, and issue tracking.
Ensure product and capability delivery is controlled through a defined roadmap aimed at improving time to market, reduced operational risk, and increased.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other equivalent.
Hands on experience in agile development methodology.
Understanding of Amex's systems and processes
Preferred Qualifications
Experience is supporting and understanding of Oracle ERP
Product owner certification
Master's degree
Agile certified
