Assistant Product Managers play a key role in both driving and enhancing the benefit and value from theSAP solution. Assistant Product Managers collaborate with the business to elicit requirements andtranslate them into viable SAP solutions aligned with the overall organization strategy and road map. TheAssistant Product Manager will facilitate the Controlling product alignment and standardization and willsupport the development and validation of designated enhancements designed to enable ongoing producttransformation, efficiency, and the achievement of identified KPIs.The Assistant Product Manager will act as an ambassador for the SAP solution in their respectivefunctional area(s) across Global. The Assistant Product Manager will provide expertise and guidance inrelation to SAP-enabled business products. They will own the integration of their SAP other modules andwill assist in managing initiatives, projects and third-party consultants working within their functionalarea.The Assistant Product Managers scope of responsibility includes supporting their functional area toensure the success of the SAP solution across a large global client base. In this capacity, they may directteam members toward a common solution, coordinate the activities with other functional and technicalteams and work with the global clients to understand the necessary requirements for product and serviceimprovement.Responsibilities:Oversees all aspects of the process and product or sub-productOversees product update and enhancement lifecycle with emphasis on demand, requirements,validation, and securing business signoffParticipates in requirements review, validation activities, test case reviews, and user acceptancetesting for functionality developed by the ProgramManages functional incidents and service requests through full lifecycle (through closure)Provides major incident oversight and communicates status to the business in a timely mannerOversees SLA compliance for all workloads and re-prioritizes tickets if necessaryUnderstands and assesses the financial impacts of incidents related to disrupted productprocesses assisting the business work through complex errors and reconciliationsAnalyzes batch failures/errors and summarize findings in reports to the businessAdvises and assists L2 resources as neededConducts analyses of lifecycle work performed by Product Management Team and IT to identifydesign flaws and realize process efficienciesRequirements:Bachelor's degree in finance, business, computer science or a related discipline, or equivalentwork experience.6 to 8 years of experience in a large business system environment, with focus in SAP ABAP (withgood knowledge in ABAP fundamentals such as Function Modules, Data Dictionaries, modulepool, interactive reports, Class, BADI, BAPI, Enhancements, BDC, LSMW, etc.,).Good in debugging sessions for complex scenarios.Good Experience and knowledge in ALV reports, Forms, interfaces, enhancements, utility tools.Good in code review per best practices with high standard.Knowledge of SAP technical objects & functioning - such as Programs, API's, Batch Jobs, IDOC's,Query Builder is required.Must have good understanding on SAP functional modules SD, MM, PS, FICO, HR, etc.,Good understanding on OSS navigation and OSS note interpretation.Understanding of SAP functional requirement, conversion into technical design and developmentusing ABAP reports, interface, conversion, enhancement and forms in implementation or supportprojects.SAP certification preferred but not a must.
